Airlines have agreed to include the international passenger service charge or terminal fees in the cost of airline tickets beginning October 2014. Transportation Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya said the move would result in reduced queuing time at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport or NAIA.
MIAA said the integration of the terminal fees in airline tickets would help address the congestion problem for departing passengers at NAIA, and would free up a sizeable area as the existing terminal fee counters would be removed.

The US Department of Transportation has granted the application of Cebu Pacific to fly to the United States, after the restoration of the Philippines’ Category 1 air safety status.
Cebu Pacific was previously restricted from flying to the US after the Federal Aviation Administration downgraded the Philippines to Category 2 six years ago. Only Philippine Airlines currently provides the transpacific service.
